Spotty Squash Leaves

What's wrong with this squash foliage? There are greyish white blotches all over the leaves? Notice that the blotches may at first glance seem random, but they appear uniformly along veins and on pretty much every vein on every leaf. This spotty variegation is normal for some types of squash, particularly summer squash varieties.
