Whorled Leaves

Most gardeners are familiar with plants that
have alternate or opposite leaves. But many are not familiar
with the term "whorled" leaves,
meaning three or more leaves at each node. Some examples common
to Indiana gardens and landscapes include Lysimachia (yellow
loosestrife), Eupatorium (Joe pye weed), Veronicastrum,
and Galium (bedstraw).
